BeST Berliner Sensortechnik GmbH was founded in 2013 by Oliver von Sperber (left) and Oliver Völckers (right). It was based on the sensor inventions by Oliver Völckers with over 50 granted patents worldwide. The inventions mainly relate to force and pressure measurement with membrane sensors and silicone rubber.
BeST SENSOR develops compact, mobile and battery-operated solutions, often with a radio module. The sensors can be standard components, new developments or our own inventions. The signal processing software runs on state-of-the-art microcontrollers, usually of the Risc-ARM type with a real-time operating system. We like to use open source software.
BeST SENSOR is a flexible and strongly networked company that co-operates with numerous partners as required. Our customers are corporations, medium-sized companies and start-ups in Berlin, Germany, Europe, the USA and Asia. We can support our customers at every stage of development, from the initial idea and feasibility study through to series production.
While other providers specialise in either sensor technology, hardware or software, we view each solution as a holistic system in which all components are coordinated with each other. We chose the name BeST SENSOR because we only work in areas where we have the best expertise. Our goal is always the complete satisfaction of our customers.
How we work:
Concept design
You ask for a solution and define your requirements. We design a customized sensor system for you. If an invention results from this innovation process, we offer to register a patent with you.

Proof of concept
The new approach will be built as a working model to ensure that the development meets all expectations. The proof of concept consists of the sensor element, the electronic module and the software from BeST SENSOR.

Series production
As a test series, we first equip a few dozen product samples with the sensor system in order to check its suitability for series production. For the subsequent series production, we work with suppliers in Europe and Asia or support the production in your production facilities.
You maintain control at every stage. We only proceed to the next step when you are satisfied.
